GFT Launches DealBook Mobile

Written by PatM on January 9, 2012.

Earlier this week, GFT (read our full review here) launched an iPad/iPhone application for their DealBook trading platform; adding to the list of brokers who are mobilizing their proprietary platforms to work with tablets and smart phones.  The application is called “DealBook Mobile” and offers rich, customized charting, streaming CNBC (US live stream, Europe live stream, Asia live stream), and of course the ability to execute and manage trades.

The factor that puts this application into “download-worthy” is truly the design of the charting functionality.  Dealbook Mobile comes with a packed library of indicators for use on charts that are completely customizable and easy to look at.  Of particular usefulness is the ability to place a particular currency chart front and center (of say EUR/USD),  and on the left hand column, place charts of the associated currencies (EUR/GBP, EUR/JPN,  EUR/CAD); to see how the currency in question is performing across other currencies:

Whether or not you’ve “made the jump” to using a mobile device for trade execution or not; the Dealbook Mobile app serves as a great tool for following and researching the markets.  To learn more about the app or download, visit GFT.
