What are E-Signatures as it relates to an online brokerage? E-Signature is an option that allows the individual investor to fill out forms and sign the necessary paperwork to open an account online. Many brokers now use CRM software to utilize the E-Signature option, so that investors can get their account opener easier and without hassle.

The E-Signature system is a great alternative to mailing or faxing signed documents. Since it is an online broker you are using, chances are you are going to want to sign up online. E-Signatures allow you to keep the entire process online. The E-Signature also allows an investor to get started much more quickly, which is always a nice benefit.
